i've been down lately, as you may have noticed from my recent posts, and to make matters worse i've gained 5 freakin' pounds (ARGH!!!). i'm an emotional eater and i tend to pig out when i'm sad, which i shouldn't do because i'll end up more miserable once i gain some weight :P

i've been meaning to start dieting but never really committed to it since i was kinda okay with my weight (90 lbs) although i would love to go down to 85lbs. now after all the emotional vegging ive been doing i'm up to 95lbs >.< i need to shed these extra poundage and i need to do it fast, i just hate feeling "full" and all stretched-out.

so starting tomorrow, 11/3/09 i'm restricting my caloric intake to 500calories/day. i hate exercising so the only way i'll lose weight is by not eating ;P . . . hopefully i can resist those leftover Halloween candies :{

Argh! I should seriously stop muching on sweets >.<  I've been stuffing my face with candy ever since this morning... there goes my 1000-calorie-a-day diet. I ran out of candy so I opened one bag of Halloween candies that we pack for the neighborhood trick-or-treaters. Not to worry we still have 74 baggies left, now if I could just keep my hands of them long enough for my mom to go grocery shopping, LOL.

Since my beloved 2PM is on hiatus (somewhat), I went back to watching kdrama to pass the time. Here are the ones that I'm currently following:

  Loving You a Thousand Times

(Lee Soo Kyung, Jung Gyu Woon)

Synopsis: Go Eun Nim (Lee Soo Kyung) agrees to be a surrogate mother for a rich married couple who've unsuccessfully tried to coceive in order to save her father's life. She'll unknowingly fall in love with Baek Kang Ho (Jung Gyu Woon) who is the younger brother of the father of her baby.

Why I Love it! The main characters look so great together and they have great chemistry ^.^ Every time they have a scene together I can't help but giggle.  I've only seen up to episode 15, but so far the story has progressed properly. It's a plus that Go Eun Nim meets my leading lady requirements: (1)must be pretty (2) must have long hair, and (3) must be thin. And Baek Kang Ho shirtless is just divine, lol. He's body is perfect, toned yet not too buff, just right ^.~  I could definitely use more scenes of him just getting out of the shower, LOL!

Parts that I hate: Eun Nim's super annoying older step-sister, argh! The baby-broker-ajumma's recurrent black eyes... sorry couldn't care less. And the lifeless toddler they have playing Eun Nim's son, is that the best they could do? The kid has only one expression --> o.o  Moon Mason in Baby & Me was younger than this kid and he acted like a pro.

(Lee Min Jung, Jung Kyung Ho)

Synopsis: Seo Jung In (Lee Min Jung) got ditched on her way to her honeymoon when her jerk-off husband knew about her family's bankruptcy. The once rich & pompous Seo family now has to live with their former driver and his family since they have no where else to go.

Why I like it: 3 words- Jung Kyung Ho, lol. I miss seeing him on screen. He was the only part that I liked in My Sweetheart, My Darling... so anything remotely fun with him in it, I'll definitely watch.

(Park Shin Hye, Jang Geun Suk, Lee Hong Ki, Jung Yong Hwa)

Synopsis: She's The Man Korean style. Park Shin Hye plays Go Min Nyu a nun's apprentice who has to pretend to be her twin brother Go Mi Nam in order to keep his dream of becoming an idol alive, while he recuperates from a botched eye surgery. Jang Geun Suk plays Hwang Tae Kyung the moody leader of A.N.JELL with serious OCD.

Why I Like It: again 3 words: Jang Geun Suk, LOL ^___^

Tdrama, to mix it up a bit, lol.

Autumn's Concerto

(Ady An, Vaness Wu)

Synopsis: Rich & cocky Ren Guang Xi (Vanness Wu) unexpetedly falls for poor and pure Liang Mu Cheng (Ady An). Unfortunately, after a much needed brain surgery Guang Xi loses his memory of Mu Cheng, to make matters worst Guang Xi's mom orders Mu Cheng to leave his son, not knowing that Mu Cheng is already carrying Guang Xi's baby. Six years pass and Guang Xi is engaged to He Yi Qian, the pretty doctor who took care of him, but a familiar piano piece stirs his memory of his past love.

Why I like It: It has all the ingredients of a typical tragic love story but I somehow enjoy watching it. Could it be the main couple's chemistry? could be... Oh! I know why, on the end of each episode they show this lovely scene of the couple with their son. It sooo adorable! The promise of a happy ending is what keeps me watching this drama.

Balenciaga bags

... my other love ^.^

I love the simplicity of the Balenciaga bags. I absolutely hate designer bags with trademarks all over them *cough*LV/gucci*cough*. I just find them tacky. Balenciagas on the other hand are absolutely divine. The design is simple yet chic. And don't get me started about the colors. There's just too many to choose from that it'll make your head spin. I started making a wishlist, which proved to be futile, coz i just love all of them. The leather varies from year to year. But whether it's thick & smooshy or distressed... the variation just adds to its charm.

The one thing I hate about Balenciaga bags is the price, lol. When you're a poor student like me, you can't really indulge in your obsession for these pricey bags.

I currently own two of these lovely gems (wish i had more), but i'll scrimp and save to nourish my collection, lol.

I bought them pre-loved. I got the City for around $1300 and the Twiggy was on sale for $900 ^.^ Black and White are produced every year (as far as I  know), but other colors are only available with their specific seasons. So if you want a certain color, most of the time the only way to get them is through a consignment shop. Although some colors are really similar to each other, you can't even tell the difference unless you look really close.

I started loving Balenciagas when I saw the female lead in Hotaru No Hikari tote a TDF '06 Lilac Day. The understated beauty of the bag just drew me in making it hard for me to concentrate on the story, lol. I started googling and I ended up in The Purse Forum, which is like the online mecca for purse afficionados.  And before I knew it I was hooked.
